| BWII From the North
Route 70 To Route 539 South. Bear right soon in order to stay on Route 539. Go about 8 miles and watch for mile marker 17. About 1/2 mile after mile marker 17 there's a dirt road on the right, just past the fire tower on the left. There is a red tape a red reflector around the telephone pole at the turnoff for the dirt road. Turn right off of Route 539 into the dirt road. (West) (This dirt road becomes wide with some clearing on the right side.) The dirt road goes straight for about 1.6 miles, then you make a right onto another dirt road. Drive another mile to a clearing on the right. That's the observing field. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ BWII From the South Route 72 To Route 539 North. Go a couple of miles and watch for mile marker 16. About 1/2 mile after mile marker 16 there's a dirt road on the left. There is a red tape a red reflector around the telephone pole at the turnoff for the dirt road. If you pass the fire tower on the right (on Route 539) you went to far.. The dirt road goes straight for about 1.6 miles, then you make a right onto another dirt road. Drive another mile to a clearing on the right. That's the observing field. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ For The Lacey Pit go East not West onto that same dirt road. Head .7miles East Turn Right and head .7 miles South. Turn Left and you are there. |
